Great Price, Excellent tool February 10, 2008 William S. Bauers (Santa Barbara) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Haven't had one problem and the fact it is refurbished means what was going to fail did and it was replaced.
This thing is a HOSS! April 19, 2009 S. M. Comstock (Forney, Tx United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this planer to replace a Makita that recently gave up the ghost in my cabinet shop. The Bosch has exceptional power and is easily controllable. I use tools for a living and this one impresses me.
Planing window extensions December 23, 2008 Todd C. Hargraves (St. Ignace, Mi) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this planer to trim back the top and side extensions of a bay window to the interior drywall. The planer looked like new and the and the cutting blades appeared to be new. I had never used a power planer before so I practiced on a couple pieces before planing the window. I set the blades to only take 1/64 per pass and did multiple passes to get even with the drywall surfaces. I found that holding the little lever on the rear shoe out of the way allowed me to contact the wood more precisely.
The mess was minimal, the bag catches most of the chips. It doesn't take much time to get familiar with this planer. Ready for casings.
Nice equipment, nice price! September 16, 2008 C. Day (Central Coastal CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My hubby and I are building some lawn furniture, and it is so nice to be able to bevel the edges of the boards for comfort with this planer! This is the second piece of Bosch equipment we've purchased and the quality is excellent. Don't be afraid of the refurbished - we couldn't tell this one from new when opened. It has a nice hardshell plastic case for storage too.
